The Ermita del Cristo del Llano is located in an elevated area, surrounded by an old cobblestone market and delimited by a stone wall, constituting, together with the Castle and the Church of San Mateo, a third landmark of special monumentality in the town.

Although the construction that is preserved must date back to the transition from the 16th to the 17th centuries, the most important thing about the property is provided by the reforms of the 18th century, which incorporated the pictorial decoration of its vaults and the expansion of the area of the head, where A body was built that houses the dressing room of the venerated titular image.

This is a surprising space in which the motley decoration, based on painted plasterwork, sculptures or mirrors, makes it an outstanding example of the most exalted Andalusian Baroque.
