The Church of Angustias is an emblematic church which is home to the patron saint of Ayamonte.
Its construction dates from the second quarter of the 16th century, in Baroque style with reminiscences of the Mudéjar. The church is divided into 3 naves separated by semicircular arches. The Main Altarpiece is Renaissance.
In the centre of the altarpiece there is the niche of the Virgen de las Angustias, built 1761 in a magnificent Rococo style.
