The current Chapel of San Antonio, located in the street that bears his name, was originally a hermitage and was situated on the outskirts of the village. It was founded in the 16th century by the sailors' guild, whose income was used to finance it, so it is thought that the wood used may have come from a tropical tree, as it has not been possible to catalogue the species. It also had a school for their children, set up in what until then was the hermit's house, which later came under the control of the State, and is currently declared an Asset of Cultural Interest.
