Museo del Rosario
The Rosary Museum is unique in the world. It is included in the Guinness Book of World Records and was created in the 1960s by Mr Paulino Díaz Alcaide, cantor and organist of the Church of La Asunción. It can be visited in the Convent of Cilla de los Jerónimos (17th century).
It is a collection of 3,000 rosaries from all over the world, belonging to national and international people from the worlds of politics, showbiz, religion, royalty, etc. Some of the highlights are donations by Pope John Paul II, Richard Nixon, Mother Teresa of Calcutta and the Spanish Monarchs, to name but a few. Other interesting items are the prayer ropes from various religions and of different sizes and materials (cork, bone, seed, glass, etc).
From May 15 to September 30: Thursday to Sunday and holidays from 11 am. to 3 pm. From October 1 to May 14: From Friday to Sunday and holidays from 10 am. to 2 pm. and from 3 pm. to 5 pm.
