The Monumental Complex of the Alcazaba de Antequera occupies the entire hilltop enclosed by the walls of the Islamic quarter, and where the Keep, with its angular floor plan, is the most important feature.
In 1582 a bell tower was added to the top of this tower to house the largest bell in the whole city.
A visit to La Alcazaba can also include a visit to the Real Colegiata de Santa María.
You can make the visit with an audio guide or have a guided tour (check prices by email.)
Monday to Sunday, 10am to 6pm. Special opening hours during holidays: 5 January, 24 and 31 December: 10am to 3pm. 1 and 6 January, 25 December: closed The doors of the Alcazaba will close to the public 30 minutes before closing time. The entrance price to La Alcazaba also includes a visit to the Real Colegiata de Santa María.
Tickets: 6 € Groups: 5 € Children between 7 and 16 years and retired people: 3 € Children entrance until 6 years: free.
