Work on its construction began in the first third of the 18th century. Its façade comprises two clearly differentiated parts built at different times. The older of the two, corresponding to the ground and main floors, dates to the beginning of the 18th century, whereas the tower/vantage point, which follows the typical design of non-military towers in the Antequera area, and the body of the attic were erected in the second half of the century.

The inside of the building boasts a magnificent staircase.

The building currently houses the Museo de la Ciudad.
