Built in the second half of the 16th century, it has suffered various alterations and additions during the course of its existence.
The exterior features seven bays, with grilles on the ground floor and balconies on the main floor, the façade being topped by an attic or garret that was added recently. The towers were built in the local style. Very little of the original interior has survived due to the fire that gutted the building during the Spanish Civil War. The palace now houses the school of Nuestra Señora del Carmen.
