Dolmen de El Romeral
This is a more recent structure with several innovative features. This is a "tholos"-type dolmen with a passage and two clearly differentiated sections. First there is a long access corridor, followed by the burial chamber or tholos with a false vault structure consisting of overlapping layers of stone.
The access from the corridor to the burial chamber is by means of a door with a lintel. Finally, we come to a second, smaller chamber. This was used for the presentation of offerings. Worth noticing is the large floor slab which was used as an altar; underneath, part of the burial trove of this dolmen was found. The new developments that are evident in the construction of this dolmen are the use of small levers for building the passage and the false vault. The larger slabs are used to cover the structure.
