Convento de Santa Eufemia
This convent of the Religiosas Mínimas, dedicated to Santa Eufemía, the joint patron saint of the city of Antequera, was founded in 1601. The existing church was built between 1739 and 1763.
The building exterior displays a pleasing combination of architectural features and roofs, the most unique aspects being the belfry and the side room below the figure of the patron saint. Octagonal in shape, the convent is a particularly high building, the lower part of its façade being concealed due to the annexes that have been attached to it.
The main chapel is topped by a small dome with Rococo plasterwork.
