Convento de Santa Catalina de Siena
The original church was replaced by the existing building, which has the typical floor plan of a convent church, with a single nave, main chapel and a lower choir at the foot of it.
The church exterior is very simple but does comprise various elements of note, such as the little tower on the corner of the façade, the rhythmic series of high latticework and the door that provides the entrance to the building.
The interior plasterwork is ornately Baroque in style and is profusely decorated with angels and plant motifs.
Free entrance.
Monday to Saturday (mass), at 6pm. Wednesday, 8am to 1.30pm and 3.30pm to 8pm. Sunday and public holidays (mass), at 8.30am.
