Los Caballos Restaurant was founded by Bernardo Fernández García, who started working very young, leaving school out of necessity to work as a day labourer in the fields. It is located in Álora, Malaga.
Before long he used all his savings to invest in his first tractor and he didn't even have money left to fill the first tank of fuel – a friend had to lend him some.
Bernardo learned from a very young age the value of friendship, honesty and keeping his word. He invested the fruits of his labour with the tractor in an almond farm, which he would later exchange for a crag with rocks and palms, for which he was mocked by many. He has always been a visionary and innovator in his world. He transformed the crag with his tractor, divided it into plots and sold some of them to be able to build what is today one of the most charismatic and iconic hotel establishments in the area: Los Caballos Restaurant.
He eventually handed over the reins of his business to the next generation, who remain faithful to his same principles.
