Romería de la Virgen de las Flores

The Virgen de Flores is the town's patron saint, together with the Virgen de la Cabeza. The image can be found in the Convent of Flores, two kilometres from the town of Álora. In September they celebrate events in honour of the Patron Saint. The image is taken down to the Church of La Encarnación to celebrate the novena, and on the Sunday after 8 September (day of the patron saint), the image makes its way back to the convent amongst floats, carts, horses and pilgrims.
