Castillo Árabe de Álora
The castle was declared a National Monument in 1931 and stands on the "Cerro de las Torres".
It was built by the Arabs during the s. IX and X, though its origins date back to Phoenician and Roman times. It is a walled enclosure where highlight the "Torre de la Vela", the "Torre de Vigilancia" and a pointed horseshoe arch, the only one in the West.
