Easter Week in Almogía

Two brotherhoods bring Almogía’s Holy Week to life: the one dedicated to "Jesus", which takes Our Father Jesus Nazarene and Our Lady of Sorrows in procession on Holy Thursday, and the one dedicated to Our Lady of Solitude, which does the same on Good Friday. 

On Easter Sunday, both join together to carry the Crucified Christ. This tradition dates back to the 18th century. On Holy Saturday, the three main figures are chosen to accompany the sacred images of the two brotherhoods.
