Iglesia Convento de Las Puras
The cloistered convent known as El Convento de Las Puras pertains to the Franciscan Conceptionist Sisters and is one of the most important artistic sites in the city. It was declared of Cultural Interest in 1982.
Its most notable features include the church, cloister and the entrance from Calle Cervantes, with a 19th century doorway and rear cloister. The main façade of the Church-Convent dates to the 18th century and stands out for its sobriety, concentrated on the Baroque main façade, characterised by a typical 17th century Mudejar tower. The single-nave church has a beautiful 18th century Baroque decor, most notably the main altar.
