Antonio de Torres Museum of the Spanish Guitar
Located in the heart of the historic centre of the city of Almeria, to the south of the cathedral, the Museo de la Guitarra Española Antonio de Torres (Antonio de Torres Museum of the Spanish Guitar) is more than simply a museum space; it is an exhibition and information centre that enables visitors to easily and fully discover the key features of one of the most popular musical instruments in the world: the guitar.
Its layout varies between different exhibit rooms (for permanent and temporary exhibitions), a multi-purpose room, a full function room and the visitor's reception area, which is located downstairs and which depicts the world of the guitar: the guitar through art, the history of the guitar, the workshop of the luthier Antonio de Torres, and the birth of the contemporary guitar…

From 1 October to 30 May: Tuesday to Saturday from 10:30 am. to 1:30 pm. and from 5 to 8 pm. Sunday from 10:30 am. to 1:30 pm. From 1 June to 30 September: Tuesday to Saturday from 10:30 am. to 1:30 pm. and from 6 to 9 pm. Sunday from 10:30 am. to 1:30 pm.
