The Church of San Juan Bautista was built in 1769 in Almedinilla, but only the dressed stone remains from the original. The current church was built in 1978.
It features a life-size crucifix in the presbytery and the style recalls mid-17th century Sevillian aesthetics. The image of San Juan Bautista is a carving in "estofado" (wood imitating gold brocade), that was created in the workshop of Alonso de Mena in about 1630. There is also an 18th-century carving of the Virgen de los Dolores next to a Nazarene, from the school of José de Mora.
