Flamenco Night in Alhaurín el Grande

The seeds of the current Flamenco Night in Alhaurín El Grande were planted back in the late 1960s and early 1970s, when a series of flamenco nights were held, but did not continue. The first edition of the Flamenco Night as we know it today was held in 1982.

Organised by the flamenco club Peña Unión Flamenca de Alhaurín El Grande, it is one of the many flamenco events that take place across the province of Malaga.

The most important flamenco artists have performed at this event, such as El Lebrijano, Juanito Valderrama, Farina, Naranjito de Triana, Antonio de Canillas, Carmen Linares, José de la Tomasa, José Menese, Esperanza Fernández, María Terremoto, Antonio Reyes, Jesús Méndez, Rancapino Chico, El Choro, as well as other local artists; and, of course, there is always room for young, up-and-coming singers, dancers and musicians.
