Lauro Golf
Lauro Golf is another of Andalucia's golf courses built to offer the golfer an opportunity to enjoy surroundings of great unspoilt natural beauty. The panoramic views are spectacular. Opened in May 1992, the inland course is a tribute to its designer Folco Nardi and Mariano Benítez and each hole bears the name of a bull-fighter.
Many of the holes are cut between lines of olive trees and to add difficulty there are several carefully placed water hazards, notably those cleverly located close to the clubhouse and protecting the 9th and 18th greens. the par three 4th hole is unusual in this way that it has a steep uphill prospect from the tee which makes the green appear farther away than it actually is.
The clubhouse is an old cortijo built around a shaded courtyard. Its open air restaurant is perfect for relaxing on warm evenings after a day out on the course.
