Castillo de la Caba
This Moorish castle was built in the 10th - 11th century to control the Puerto de la Ragua mountain pass and the mines in the surrounding area. It is situated in the region known as Umbría del Tío Calvo, on a platform at the top of a hill, to the east of the town.
It has a cistern with three mortar naves with barrel vaults. It is one of the best-preserved castles in the Marquesado del Zenete area. The walls and towers remain standing almost all around the perimeter. On the northern face there are remains of up to ten wall towers.
