The Pradillos Trail – PR-A 296 starts close to Alcolea, Pago del Aljibe del Arco. Part of its route runs through a repopulated pine grove of maritime pine "Pinus Pinaster”.

The vegetation is made up of gorse, broom, rosemary and thyme, the latter being an important economic driver for the people of the area years ago. Once we reach the Alamillo gorge, the vegetation is more varied, and we will find eucalyptus, poplar, hawthorn and abundant bramble. Next to the forest house of the Pradillos, a former tree nursery, which is where seedlings were obtained for later reforesting the mountains.

The path continues with delightful views of the Sierra Nevada, the quaint towns of Granada's Alpujarra region and the Mediterranean Sea in the distance. In theThe Sierra de Gádor , we can find different landscapes that have been conditioned by geographic characteristics and various human activities; hillock plasterwork, limestone rocks. The lower part is formed by clay sediments, giving rise to varied cultivated areas, including the vineyards. These are visible on old mining sites, one of which is the Pajarillos, an old mining village that is now abandoned, which extracted and purified Calamine (alloy of Lead, Zinc and Tin)

Regarding its fauna, there are boars, foxes, hares, rabbits and squirrels. Among the most striking birds, we can distinguish the Imperial Eagle, Bonelli's eagle and the kestrel.
