Productos Mata

Productos Mata was founded in the 19th century as a simple confectionery workshop in Alcaudete. A hundred years and four generations later, inside its modern facilities, the company now applies innovation to make the same sweets whose recipes were created by Carlos Mata and María Burgos back in 1897. Throughout its long and successful history, Productos Mata has expanded its range of products to include gourmet preserves.

Productos Mata is, above all else, a company that firmly believes in supporting its province, Jaén, which is clearly reflected in the number of jobs it provides. There are three products that are the company's flagship. In desserts, we can highlight the delicious hojaldrinas (puff pastry cakes), which were initially conceived as a Christmas treat by the third generation of the family, but quickly became a staple part of breakfast for families throughout Spain. Many have copied but few have equalled this sweet treat, which hides no secrets other than natural ingredients mixed by skilful hands.

Their tomato sauce and jars of baby broad beans are appreciated by all who try them. The fact that these delicacies are now sold in supermarkets across the country means they are easily affordable and more readily available.
