Frutos Secos Ortega

Frutos Secos Ortega is a company that has been dedicated to toasting and marketing dried fruits since 1960. Today, most of its activity focuses on preparing dry figs, fig bread, plums, raisins and dried apricots. Its products, which are top class, come to Alcaudete from the producing regions and provinces, such as Extremadura or La Alpujarra in Granada.

Although Spain is the main destination for its products, it is patiently opening other markets where its main competitors are the countries of Northern Africa and Turkey. But painstaking and almost artisanal production is allowing it to capture the consumers in Denmark, Holland, Switzerland, Belgium, Portugal and England, where its fig paste is very popular for jam-making.
