The Hospital de la Misericordia was built in the second half of the 18th century, next to the medieval wall of Alcaudete.

It has two doorways: the main entrance to the building with a stone lintel and a side door with a stone arch leading into the chapel of the building. It was open as a hospital and maternity unit until the second half of the 20th century. After various uses, today it forms part of the administrative offices belonging to the Town Council.
