Centro Temático Campo Andaluz
Located in the centre of Alameda(Malaga) and registered in the Route of the Lands of José María El Tempranillo, the Campo Andaluz Thematic Centre is in a building in line with the traditional architecture of these agricultural towns. Through its exhibition areas, the centre offers visitors the chance to discover the traditional work of cultivating and harvesting olives and wheat.
It also pays homage to an artform that is no longer used due to technological advances, but was very traditional and a source of wealth for the inhabitants of the village of Alameda. It looks at the way lime stone was used, which gave way to the characteristic colour of the houses in the Andalusian towns.
The poet and winner of the national Award for poetry, Antonio Muñoz Rojas, illustrates the rooms with his poems dedicated to the countryside (from his book “Las cosas del campo”, or "Things from the Countryside)
