Torre de la Vela
Located in Adra, the build up of sediments from the river moved the sea away from the wall and in 1833 it was declared useless by the government , since it was too far away for the canons to reach. In 1853 its demolition was authorised, leaving the Torre de la Vela behind as a trace.
Its last function was as a prison and, finally, as a source of building materials.
