Located in the mountainous district of Adamuz and occupying a stately home that has been renovated, with its architectural and constructional values being protected, the Adamuz Interpretation Centre is an information and exhibition space that shows the visitor all the natural, cultural and ethnographic resources the town and its surrounding area are home to. It is also a showcase for its wide range of active tourism and leisure options.

The building, situated in the heart of the Camino Real de la Plata and with strong Cervantine influences, was once the ancestral home of the Lara-Ayllón family. Philip IV spent the night here and this was the reason for which he granted the privilege of using the Habsburg coat of arms: a two-headed eagle wearing the Royal Crown.

The Interpretation Centre, which houses the Municipal Tourist Information Office, also has an introduction to history area, a traditional patio, an exhibition area (which uses original elements and reproductions), a projection area and a modern courtyard. In short, this is a living example of the history of and way of life in Adamuz.

Every day, 10:30 am to 2 pm. Friday, from 10:30 am to 2 pm and from 5 pm to 7:30 pm
