Río Nacimiento
Located in Abla, in the Baroque stately house of Don José Castillo (17th century), the Tourism Office of the Nacimiento River Region offers all the tourist information, first-hand, on this emblematic region of eastern Sierra Nevada and its seven municipalities.
The house displays countless photographs of this region's landscapes and monuments, like the Roman Mausoleum of Abla, the Alcazaba of Fiñana, the Nacimiento Palace, the Escúllar watercourse and the wash houses of Olula de Castro. Moreover, there is an information point for pilgrims visiting the regional stages included in the Mozarabic James' Way.
At the Tourist Office you can also sample and purchase typical products, such as olive oil, wine, honey, pickled vegetables and homemade desserts.
The Alfiz company, which manages the office, has designed ecocultural walks and routes for groups: Water Routes, Stately Homes Routes and Religious Routes, through which tourists and visitors can discover the local villages' history and heritage.
Wednesday to Sunday, 9:30am to 1:30pm and 4-7:30pm.
