A restored historical gem in Aroche: Hotel Casa Palacio Conde del Álamo
Over the past year, the municipality of Aroche, in the province of Huelva, has welcomed a new and unique tourist accommodation that has captivated visitors.
This accommodation is Hotel Casa Palacio Conde del Álamo, located in the town's historic centre. The main building, built in the 18th century, belonged to the eponymous count and was built using materials from the Roman city of Arucci.
After being refurbished over several years by the Council, the old palace has been converted into a hotel that complements the local tourist offering. Original elements have been maintained such as the access staircase and the main door, and it displays coats of arms and a plaque in honour of the painter Ordóñez Valdés.
The hotel features 19 individually decorated rooms, spread across the restored palace area and the new area. It has a saltwater pool and a restaurant for 38 diners to enjoy the cuisine of Aroche. As it is managed by the Council, it has created job opportunities for residents.
Located in the Historic Site of Aroche, the Hotel Casa Palacio Conde del Álamo is part of the destination's heritage and cultural attractions. Its refurbishment enables visitors to discover a unique building dating from the 17th and 18th centuries, which has boosted the local economy in the north of the province of Huelva.
