Street markets, nativity scenes, zambomba drums… there are so many ways you can enjoy Christmas in Andalusia! Here is just a small selection.

1. Stroll through the streets of the historic centre of Jaén or Almeria and enjoy the beauty of the Christmas lights.

2. Buy the figurines for your nativity scene at the traditional Christmas street market in Seville.

3. Marvel at the skill of the craftspeople who create the incredible Chocolate Nativity Scene in Rute (Cordoba) every year.

4. Attend some of the many Christmas and New Year's concerts held throughout Andalusia.

5. Sing about Christmas to the rhythm of flamenco in traditional "zambombas" in Jerez (Cadiz).

6. Enjoy the recreation of traditional nativity scenes hosted across Andalusia, such as those of Beas and Corrales (Aljaraque) in the Province of Huelva, that of Almayate (Vélez Málaga) in the Province of Malaga and the one in Arcos de la Frontera in the Province of Cadiz.

7. Visit Estepa (Seville), Antequera (Malaga), Montoro (Cordoba) and Medina Sidonia (Cadiz) to buy delicious samples of home-made Christmas sweets, marzipan and sweet pastries.

8. Stop in Cazalla de la Sierra (Seville) and Rute (Cordoba) too to accompany those sweets with some aniseed and liqueurs.

9. Say farewell to the year (with grapes, of course) at a huge party in Granada and start the new year skiing at Sierra Nevada... If you wait a few more days you might bump into the Three Kings!

10. Welcome the Three Kings on their incredible parades, some of which are truly spectacular, for example those in Higuera de la Sierra (Huelva) and Seville.
