Camino Espiritual del Sur

It is a route along paths recovered for pilgrimage on foot or by bicycle, following stages in the style of the Camino de Santiago, but also suitable for doing it with motorized means or on horseback, between Guadix and Caravaca de la Cruz; crossing the regions of Guadix and those of Baza and Huéscar of the Granada Altiplano, along with the Northwest region of the Region of Murcia. The path is structured in 14 walking stages that cover 318 km on forest tracks or agricultural roads and, in rare cases, on asphalt; traveling through various marked trails, especially within the Granada Geopark. You will pass through the places associated with the origin of Christianity in Spain, the beginnings of the human species and its development; At the same time, you will border the border territory between the Nasrid Kingdom and the Christian domains, before reaching one of the main pilgrimage sites in the Christian world: Caravaca de la Cruz.
