La Suara

In La Suara you can watch and photograph living natural events. Visitors can recover their strength with the region's varied gastronomy, based around seafood and designation of origin wines. Besides its nature value the area's proximity to Jerez de la Frontera, La Barca de la Florida and Torrecera make this peri-urban park very popular for recreation amongst local residents.

It is mainly covered by replanted stone pine and, to a lesser extent, eucalyptus trees, which provide pleasant shade and a perfect atmosphere for days out. There are also areas of wild olive trees and Mediterranean scrub, typical of this area.

Despite the intense agricultural use of land in this region, there are still some 50 species of birds to be found, including nesting birds, winter migrants, sedentary species and occasional visitors, along with many species of small mammals and reptiles that live in Mediterranean scrubland.
