Situated in the valley of the Guadiato river and surrounded by mediterranean forests and acorn and olive groves, is El Criadero hotel and restaurant. Just 10 minutes away is the ex mining village of Peñarroya Pueblonuevo and the beautiful city of Cordoba less than 80 km away.

Although a brand new construction, El Criadero is based on a traditional farmhouse design, typical of this part of Andalucia. We offer 6 double en suite bedrooms and 1 triple; a cosy lounge with fireplace and a small library with a wide selection of english novels; two large terraces with lovely views; an outdoor swimming pool with sunbathing area; an interior courtyard where you can have dinner in the warmer months; private and spacious car parking; a small restaurant and free WIFI throughout.

Our cosy, 8 table restaurant, has an excellent reputation in the region for local and more innovative gastronomy. We offer fresh, locally sourced produce and a menu which changes frequently depending on what´s in season.

Our wine list reflects wines from the area such as the dry Montilla sherry, the more well known reds of Rioja and Ribera del Duero and dry fruity whites from Rueda. For wine lovers and foodies, David will be happy to do a pre-dinner wine tasting or invite you into the kitchen while he´s making bread.
